Cofense Names Brandi Moore, Mark Small And Carolyn Merritt To Leadership Roles

Cofense, a provider of phishing defense tools, has named Brandi Moore, previously chief of staff, as chief operating officer, reporting to CEO Rohyt Belani.

In addition, the firm has appointed Mark Small as SVP of worldwide sales, and Carolyn Merritt VP of customer experience. Both will report to Moore.

This team will be tasked with positioning Cofense for its next stage of growth.

Moore started her cybersecurity career at America Online, and later worked at Mandiant (a firm acquired by FireEye), Ounce Labs (acquired by IBM) and Trustwave (acquired by Singtel).

Small previously worked at Proofpoint, leading the firm’s digital risk worldwide sales and technical teams. He also has served in senior sales and management roles at Websense, McAfee, and Oracle.

Merritt has served in executive leadership roles at Dataprise, Metalogix Software and Cision.

"Brandi, Mark and Carolyn's respective track records of success and combined entrepreneurial mindsets make them critical assets to Cofense's executive leadership team," Belani says.
