During the first quarter, Square posted a net loss of $106 million, or 24 cents a share, compared with a loss of $38 million, or 9 cents a share, in the year-earlier period, Market Watch reports.
“Square Inc. losses more than doubled in the first quarter as the payment processor filled reserve funds to deal with expected problems for its merchant customers stemming from the COVID-19
pandemic,” it writes.
