Joan Creative is forming Joan Studios to meet the “strong
need” from clients to deliver production work during the COVID-19 crisis.
The New York City-based independent creative shop has been refining the Studio’s remote production model
and has been creating content over the past year, but the pandemic accelerated the timing of the official launch.
The practice specializes in full-scale shoots and direct-to-client
productions, including TV commercials, video content, documentaries, online advertising, social content, gaming and photography.
Industry veteran Daniel Marin will helm the new division as
president, reporting to agency co-founders Lisa Clunie and Jamie Robinson. Before forming his own consultancy, Marin served at both WPP and Publicis agencies.
Marin will be supervising a team
working in different time zones. The studio’s remote structure is designed to let Joan teams engage with a global talent pool regardless of location.
“By taking a strategic
approach to any situation, and engaging talent across the world, our clients benefit from a full-service model for projects of all scales,” says Clunie. “What’s more, the endless
array of production possibilities allows our creative department to really come alive.”
