McCann Worldgroup has elevated Bill Kolb to the role of Chief
Operating Officer.
The longtime McCann veteran was previously global president, diversified agencies—which includes MRM, McCann Health and other specialist units-- and
chairman and CEO of Chevrolet-dedicated agency Commonwealth//McCann.
In his new role, Kolb will now oversee business operations across McCann Worldgroup, including all agencies and
markets.
“Bill, one of my closest partners, is one of our most experienced multiplatform and global marketing executives and has been integral to our
success,” stated Harris Diamond, chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup.
Kolb’s new remit includes developing the group’s future business models, including a
comprehensive review of the group’s structure and operations and client services. He will work closely with IPG COO Philippe Krakowsky, who is leading a broader strategic portfolio
review at the holding company level.
