'GQ' Teams With NBA Star On First Guest-Curated Product Box

GQ is partnering with NBA star Kevin Love on its latest “Best Stuff Box” product. It will be the brand’s first guest-curated box.

The quarterly box product offering launched in January 2018; it is sent to readers for $50 each or $190 a year.

Every box is valued at over $200 and ships free, with GQ editors' favorite apparel, electronics, grooming products and style accessories.

Revenue from the box is up 150% year-to-date, according to GQ. The last five boxes have sold out ahead of projections.

The latest Winter 2020 edition of the Best Stuff Box is a self-care kit curated by Love, coinciding with World Mental Health Day on October 10.

“Like GQ, Kevin is dedicated to cracking open the conversation around mental health and wellness among men,” stated editor in chief Will Welch. “So it was only natural to collaborate with Kevin on a wellness-focused version of the GQ Best Stuff Box — and only natural that the project benefit his excellent organization.”

As part of the partnership, GQ is donating $100,000 to the Kevin Love Fund, which provides people with the tools they need to achieve physical and emotional well-being.

The box includes a subscription to mindfulness app Headspace, Cliff Original calming oil, a Riley Home blanket, Lapcos sheet masks, Rains dopp kit, enamel pins, SheaMoisture soap, Cocofloss dental floss, Schmidt’s deodorant and supplements, among other items.

"I'm all about inspiring people to live their healthiest life,” Love stated. “Through this collaboration with GQ, I'm sharing a box of my favorite health and wellness products, all which are particularly important to me."

The Winter 2020 Best Stuff Box is available in the GQ Shop, which launched in August with a product line of branded merchandise.
