Buffalo Groupe Starting Events Business, Taps Golf Channel's Foster To Tee It Up, Drive It

Washington, D.C.-based Buffalo Groupe is launching an events business and has tapped media industry veteran Jeff Foster to run it as president.

One of his first tasks will be to come up with a name for the new operation.

Foster joins the marketing group from the Golf Channel where he served as senior vice president for the suite of Golf Channel digital businesses under the GolfNow umbrella. The flagship GolfNow business is a global online tee-time booking platform.

Foster was with Golf Channel for more than two decades serving in a variety of management roles including sponsorship sales, event operations, business acquisitions and integration. He played key roles in launching a full menu of GolfNow services which supports more than 9,000 golf course partners around the world.

“The launch of an events business is the most logical expansion for our platform as we guide brands in the creation of ‘moments that matter,’” said Kyle Ragsdale, Buffalo Groupe’s CEO. Foster, he noted will also lead the company’s growing media network.

The Groupe offers a number of marketing services from advertising and brand strategy to social and influencer marketing, ecommerce, search and more.
