Destination Greater Victoria, the tourism organization for the Greater Victoria region of British Columbia, Canada, is appointing MMGY Global as its marketing and advertising agency of record. The group previously worked with Destination Think!
MMGY Global has been retained to plan, develop, execute and track results for the company’s marketing initiatives and brand advertising program as well as create a cohesive brand platform for Destination Greater Victoria, which was previously known as Tourism Victoria.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism was the destination’s second-largest industry, contributing $2.3 billion annually and bringing $1.4 billion in revenue from visitors into the local economy each year. However, due to travel and health restrictions to address the pandemic, the region’s tourism industry has been severely impacted.
