Opus Agency Taps Ex-Nielsen CEO To Lead Shop

Opus Agency has appointed Mitch Barns CEO. He’ll team with President Kim Koptez and work with key clients including Google, Amazon and Microsoft. The seven-office agency employs 350+ people.

During his five years as CEO at Nielsen, he helped transition the company from its legacy data and information to become a more tech-enabled company, operating in over 100 countries with over $6 billion in revenues.

Prior to his role as CEO, Barns led several businesses within Nielsen. Earlier in his career he worked at Procter & Gamble in marketing research and brand management.

At Opus he replaces the retiring Monte Wood, who ran the agency for more than fifteen years, and who will now sit on the Opus Board.
