People is working with CVS Health and Walmart to help consumers find convenient places to get immunized against COVID-19.
The promotional initiative, titled “People United to End the Pandemic,” features a smart code embedded into a custom advertising spread in the May 3 issue.
The issue directs consumers to each retailer’s website to access information on how to register for a vaccine appointment in their locations.
The effort coincides with the kickoff of the World Health Organization's World Immunization Week 2021.
"People has the largest audience reach of any magazine brand nationwide," claims Catherine Levene, president, National Media Group at publisher Meredith Corp.
Levene adds: “Our partnership with CVS Health and Walmart unites us for a great cause by spreading the word to millions of readers about the importance of getting vaccinated.”
