Cloud Platform Calix Forms Mailchimp Integration To Help Broadband Service Providers

Calix, a marketing cloud provider, has formed an integration with email platform Mailchimp.

The arrangement will allow broadband service providers (BSPs) to identify audiences and build revenue and loyalty in Mailchimp, eliminating the need for manual spreadsheet exports, the company says. In addition, brands can use intelligent automation while conducting omnichannel campaigns in a cost-effective way, it claims.

BSPs will be able to Broadband access audience segments from Calix Marketing Cloud in Mailchimp.

According to Calix, the arrangement will help marketers:

  • Automate marketing to deliver timely, relevant experiences
  • Adopt an omnichannel approach to reaching subscribers
  • Maximize return on investment (ROI)
  • Elevate marketing campaigns with actionable insights

Calix adds that this is the first of several integrations it plans to form with major martech platforms.

At least one Calix client, which says it uses Mailchimp extensively for its email marketing, is pleased about the arrangement.

The integration with Calix Marketing Cloud "will simplify our ability to manage email lists and audience segments from one platform," says Chris Armstrong, director, sales and marketing for CityWest, a BSP located in British Columbia.

Armstrong adds that the firm is “eager to build on our successes to date with Calix by integrating even more of our social channels with Calix Marketing Cloud in the near future."
