Entrust Partners With Red Siftto To Drive BIMI

Data protection firm Entrust has expanded its partner with Red Siftto to help marketers adopt BIMI (Brand indicators for Message Identification), the standard that allows brands to display their logos with authenticated emails.

In addition, Entrust has announced what it says is the general availability of its Verified Mark Certificates (VMCs), which are required for BIMI usage.

The developments follow the news that Google was following out support of BIMI in all Gmail inboxes.

Ally Financial has been working with Entrust to pilot use of VMCs for the past year, the company says.

The Red Siftto integration allows brands to access VMCs and DMARCs through a self-service vendor platform: OnDMARC).

With Yahoo and Fastmail also supporting it BIMI is available in roughly 2 billion inboxes, according to Validity, which is partnering with Entrust to provide its clients with VMCs.

“BIMI is an industry-wide effort to advance email authentication and help all brands protect themselves,” states Seth Blank, chair of the AuthIndicators Working Group that developed BIMI-Chief Product Officer, Valimail. “It provides protection for users at scale and makes the email ecosystem better and safer for everyone.”
