For Playmaker, the acquisition “is not only transformational, but also immediately financially accretive to our shareholders,” states Jordan Gnat, founder-CEO of Toronto-based Playmaker.
Playmaker will leverage Yardbarker’s content of all the key North American sports “within our current futbol sites’ assets and vice versa,” Gnat adds. It content will be cross-pollinated across all of Playmaker’s properties.
In a recent interview with TMX, Gnat described Playmaker as “a digital sports media company that lives at the intersection of sports, betting, media and technology.”
The California-based Yardbarker was founded in 2006.
