HBO Max To Launch In Europe In October

WarnerMedia will launch HBO Max in Europe on Oct. 26, starting with Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Spain and Andorra.

In 2022, Max will debut in 14 more European territories: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

HBO Max will be available to new customers as well as existing customers of HBO España, HBO Nordic, HBO Go and HBO Portugal (billed either directly or via eligible partners).

A virtual launch event will be held in October to showcase the streamer and announce its pricing.

The European expansion is part of Max's phased-in global rollout. Additional territory launches are also planned for next year.

HBO Max, which launched in May 2020 and rolled out to the full U.S. in July 2020, expanded outside the U.S. for the first time this June, launching in 39 territories across Latin America and the Caribbean.
