Cannes Lions is out with its latest Lions Creativity Report, which recognizes the most creative companies and people in the industry. It’s based on the winners and short-listers at this
year’s Festival of Creativity, which covered two years of work. The 2020 awards were postponed due to the pandemic.
This year, the report is expanded, and the official rankings are
presented alongside trends, analysis and interviews with Lion-winning creators.
The top three creative countries were the USA, UK and Brazil, which aligned with the top three
creative cities: New York, London and Sao Paulo.
FCB, Ogilvy and McCann Worldgroup were the top three ranked agencies in North America, while Dentsu, Ogilvy and DDB Worldwide took the
top three slots in the APAC region.
In the Europe Middle East and Africa region the top three shops were Publicis Worldwide, BBDO Worldwide and Ogilvy while DDB Worldwide, AKQA and Ogilvy were
the top three in Latin America.

Nisha Ganatra, director of Grand Prix Lion-winning ‘#wombstories’ for feminine hygiene brand Libresse, was cited as the top Director of the
Festival. The acclaimed Canadian director is known for her award-winning work for the TV series “Transparent” and other shows, as well as for directing the films “The High
Note” and “Late Night.”
The creative director team of Jean Zamprogno and Fernando Pellizzaro, with DAVID Miami took top creative director honors.
Felipe
Antonioli, DAVID Madrid was the top-ranked art director and Luis Giraldo, also of DAVID Madrid was the top copywriter.
