
GroupM media agency Wavemaker has named former Accenture
Managing Director Kathryn Spaeth as Global Chief Transformation Officer. She will focus on the agency’s burgeoning digital and business transformation consultancy services.
She joins on October 11 and will lead the Wavemaker Consultancy Hub, comprising 2,250 global experts within the business-critical areas of Commerce, Precision, Content, Data, Addressable, Tech and
Analytics.
Spaeth will also work to strengthen collaboration with key media partners such as Google, Amazon and Facebook, to deliver innovative solutions for brands.
Spaeth
will be based in New York and joins CEO Toby Jenner’s global leadership team.
Previously, Spaeth had served as managing director, applied intelligence, at Accenture. Earlier she
was vice president, client partner for technology practice, retail and CPG at Publicis Groupe’s Epsilon, where she had served in a number of roles, including vice president, general manager and
senior director, client services for Epsilon since 2010.

Prior to Epsilon, Spaeth served as senior manager, partnerships marketing at United Airlines since 2002. She was also
VP/business development at ActiveBuddy from 2000 to 2002. ActiveBuddy, Focalink and RealNames were part of a team that launched the first intelligent agent or ‘chatbot’ called
SmarterChild, considered the precursor to Siri.
