Interpublic’s R/GA has appointed Melissa Jackson Parsey vice president and managing director of its Brand Design & Consulting practice. The role is new.
Additionally, Augustus Cook has been promoted to executive creative director at the practice. The pair are tasked with driving growth at the practice, evolving its creative strategy and expanding its creative team.
Jackson Parsey joins R/GA from creative network B-Reel, where she served as Global Chief Strategy Officer. Earlier she was head of strategy at transformation consultancy Co:Collective, where she built a strategy group and offering, worked with C-suite and business leaders to define their brand stories.
Cook joined R/GA in 2015 as a design director from JKR New York before being promoted to group creative director. He’s led projects for key clients, including Nike, Google, PepsiCo’s bubly, Evolved by Nature, Shopify and Home Depot.
In October, R/GA announced the hire of Smruti Shah as executive strategic director of the practice. Previously, she led digital transformation and customer experience development as vice president of product strategy at Possible and Wunderman Thompson.
