Bulchandani Elevated To Global President At Ogilvy

After joining the agency a little over a year ago as Global Chairwoman of Advertising and CEO North America, Ogilvy’s Devika Bulchandani has been promoted to Global President.

In the new role she will expand her global responsibilities to encompass all five Ogilvy business units: Advertising, PR, Experience, Health, and Growth & Innovation.

The agency said she will partner with leaders across Ogilvy’s global network to continue modernizing the agency’s capabilities. And she will also retain her NA CEO duties.

Bulchandani was one of Global CEO Andy Main’s first senior hires and joined the agency just a couple of months after he did in the second half of 2020. He attributed Bulchandani’s quick rise in part to the “dynamic partnership we developed over the past year as we’ve modernized Ogilvy’s offering, invested in talent and delivered for our clients.”

The pair (with support from their team) have achieved tangible results. In November, Ogilvy was named the most creative agency network in the world by WARC, a recognition of the agency’s creative strength and scale globally.

Over the past 12 months Ogilvy has also been awarded new global assignments from brands such as Absolut, Enterprise Holdings, Zippo, James Hardie, and World of Hyatt as well as new business in North America from TD Bank, FEMA, and New York Philharmonic, among others. Additionally, Ogilvy was a part of the global WPP team that was named The Coca-Cola Company’s new Global Marketing Network Partner.
