Shaw Heads MediaCom Chicago

MediaCom upped Ryan Shaw to new head of office, charged with overseeing the Chicago branch of the WPP-owned media planning and buying agency.

Previously, Shaw spent two years as media lead for The Pharm, the integrated WPP agency that handles data, marketing and communications for Walgreens.

A media vet, Shaw has worked at iCrossing, Digitas and Starcom, as well as six years in the financial industry. He will also handle all Midwest clients for MediaCom.

Shaw reports to MediaCom U.S. CEO Sasha Savic, who credited Shaw with being "pivotal in delivering and demonstrating the success of and growth potential for truly integrated solutions for clients."

In addition, MediaCom has appointed Julie Levin as the head of sports partnerships. Levin joins from Bally Sports. She is now part of the MediaCom Creative Systems division.

Mediacom has billings of $17.6 billion. Its Q3 2021 revenues were $557.1 million, a 3.4% increase from the prior-year period.
