Last year Havas Group launched Metaverse by Havas, a new offering to help brands navigate the metaverse. Now it’s taking the plunge itself with the acquisition of a plot of virtual land in The Sandbox on the blockchain gaming platform.
Plans include creating the holding company’s first virtual village on the site. The experience will include gamification and other content, and will also be used for virtual conferences, concerts, product launches and more, according to the company.
In addition, Havas said it intends to include some recruitment and employee onboarding services within the site.
Yannick Bolloré, Chairman & CEO, Havas Group stated, “Our new Havas Village will be a ‘meta-flagship’ for the Group, drawing all our engaged communities together in an enriched extension of our bricks-and-mortar Villages.”
