Tombras Appoints Stein Chief Purpose Officer

Knoxville, TN-based Tombras has appointed Lindsay Stein Chief Purpose Officer, a new role at the ad agency. The appointment comes amid increasing demands from consumers that brands articulate their purpose and positive contributions to society.

She joins from Havas NY where she served as Chief of Social Impact & PR, leading social impact strategy and all purpose-based efforts across the agency.

As the newest member of Tombras’ C-Suite, Stein will help further define what purpose means for the agency’s client roster and employees. Today, the agency’s purpose-driven efforts are focused on categories including environment, social justice, DE&I, LGBTQ+, and culture. Stein is tasked in part with expanding that list as the agency’s ability to make a difference strengthens.

The agency also said she will also help further define how Tombras’ positioning as an agency “Connecting Data + Creativity for Business Results,” will evolve with purpose as a key tenet.

Stein’s appointment follows other recent C-suite hires at the agency including Chief Growth Officer Maggie Jennings and Chief Technology Officer Juan Tubert. The shop also recently added Subway and Steak-umm to its client roster.
