Support System: National University Campaign Targets Busy Adults Returning To School

National University, a large, private nonprofit university in San Diego, has released its first national campaign, “Supporting the Whole You.”

Wongdoogy created three 30-second TV spots. The creative targets adults who work, parent and are returning to school. Then asks: “What if a school could be there for all of you?”

NU offers more than 75 online and on-campus programs and flexible four-week classes. Started by retired U.S. Navy Capt. David Chigos, NU is also an educator of the U.S. military.

The campaign will run across TV, radio and digital media, as well as out-of-home platforms in key cities across the United States.

Spots include "Supporting the Whole Student"  and "Supporting Military Students."

The focus is positioning National University as a supportive environment where the barriers to higher education are eliminated.

The campaign for National University is part of a rebrand, along with a new logo and revamped site. NU’s new brand positioning revolves around five key elements: financial, academic, social and emotional, family life and community and career.

Dr. Michael R. Cunningham, interim president of National University and chancellor of the National University System, stated: “We’re committed to successful student outcomes by going beyond education. We surround our students with meaningful resources that take into account the many obligations they juggle in their daily lives.”

National University, which merged with Northcentral University, offers BA, MA and PhD programs.
