
San Francisco-based independent media
agency Apollo Partners has named Alison Mayes managing director, a new post at the agency.
In addition to working with clients like Coupa, Intuit, Red Kap and The New York Times, Mayes
is tasked with developing new business and refining the agency’s marketplace positioning.
Mayes joins after five years at GroupM’s Essence, most recently serving as senior
vice president/client partner.
Earlier she served as group director at Omnicom’s OMD, where she helped lead media for the Pepsi business, including managing all soda and non-soda
brands in the portfolio, excluding Tropicana.
She’s credited with helping to launch Mountain Dew League (MDL), the brand’s first sponsored eSports game tournament in
partnership with European Super League.
Mayes is based in New York, where the agency has an outpost. It also has a presence in Austin, TX.
