Marty Skovlund Jr. has been named editor in chief of Task & Purpose, a digital media outlet specializing in stories for post-9/11 military veterans, told from their perspective.
Previously, Skovlund was the founding editor of Black Rifle Coffee’s in-house publication, Coffee or Die.
Prior to that, Skovlund spent three years writing for various publications and producing and hosting film projects, like The History Channel’s “JFK Declassified: Tracking Oswald.” He also spent two years writing for Task & Purpose, serving as the brand’s first combat correspondent in Afghanistan.
Task & Purpose has more than 10 million readers per month through its website and YouTube channel, the company says.
