Peyton Manning Is New 'Dawg' In Town For Bush's Beans

Former National Football League star Peyton Manning is expanding his brand ambassador portfolio with the addition of Bush’s Beans, five months after the brand became the “Official Beans” of the Southeastern Conference college athletics roster.

Manning becomes the third ambassador for Bush’s Beans in its 114-year history—alongside golden retriever Duke and Jay Bush, the great-grandson of company founder A.J. Bush.

Manning was the star quarterback at the University of Tennessee and has deep roots in Bush’s hometown of Knoxville.

In this Instagram post, Manning meets Duke and asks “Ready to do some commercials together?”

According to Stephen Palacios, senior vice president of marketing and innovation at Bush’s Beans, Manning shares the brand’s commitment to quality and excellence.

“In addition to these qualities, both Peyton and Bush’s have a fun-loving and humorous personality, which will be on display in future ad spots alongside Duke and Jay,” Palacios tells Marketing Daily.

“With Peyton, we look forward to continuing to re-frame the canned bean category—highlighting wellness, versatility and sustainability benefits."

In July, Bush’s became the “Official Beans” of the Southeastern Conference, whose sports competitions include baseball, basketball and football.

Manning’s brand endorsements have included Buick, DirecTV, Gatorade, MasterCard, Michelob Ultra, Nationwide Mutual Insurance, Nike, Papa John's Pizza, Reebok and Sony.
