Italian Martech Company TeamSystem To Acquire Email Marketing Platform MailUp

The European martech business saw a change on Friday with the news that TeamSystem, an Italian software provider, is acquiring Growen’s MailUp email marketing/text messaging suite for €70 million.
The transaction should close by June of this year.
MailUp includes the ContactLab data and marketing cloud, and Acumbamail, a Spanish email and text platform, Techeu reports. MailUp is also parent to Globase, a Danish email marketing platform, it says.
TeamSystem’s employee head count will grow by around 260 people with this acquisition, the report says."Thanks to the acquisition of MailUp, Contactlab and Acumbamail, we can strengthen our positioning in high-potential markets such as automated marketing and data economy, which we believe will grow at considerable rates in the coming years, in view of the continued spread of ecommerce,” says Federico Leproux, TeamSystem CEO, according to Techeu.
