AMC Networks has named Kristin Dolan, wife of Executive Chairman James Dolan, as CEO.
Her appointment, effective February 27, follows a revolving door of AMC chiefs and some setbacks for the TV network group's businesses, including stalled growth at streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK, and HIDIVE.
Dolan, who joins from CEO of audience measurement service 605, already was on the board of AMC Networks, as well as Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp.
She began her career at Dolan-family controlled Cablevision and rose to COO before leaving in 2016 to join 605.
AMC Networks, once a darling of Madison Avenue's for developing hit series like "Breaking Bad" and "Walking Dead," has lost some of its programming luster and management sheen in recent years, and Dolan's appointment comes just months after former CFO Christina Space stepped down following a brief stint as CEO, replacing interim CEO Matt Blank.

“Kristin is a proven executive and operational leader with a track record
driving organizational change, a history managing subscription-based businesses, and a deep understanding of audience engagement and advertising," James Dolan said in a statement, adding: "These are
areas of critical importance as we transform our company and monetize our high-quality content. With her considerable experience and knowledge of the company, Kristin is the ideal person to
lead
Congratulations to Kristin. She is a great leader and very data savvy.
