WeightWatchers To Offer Prescription Obesity Drugs

WeightWatchers is buying digital health company Sequence, marking the company’s move into the hot market for obesity drugs. Sequence is a telehealth subscription service that connects patients with doctors who can prescribe the drugs, including Ozempic. “There is growing scientific evidence that, for some, prescription chronic weight management medications can address the biological components of obesity,” WeightWatchers said in a presentation about its Sequence purchase.
