Collins Leads Global Business Development, UK Ops For Worldcom

Worldcom OOH has appointed Lydia Collins as head of international business development to lead its U.K. operation.

The UK is the largest ad investment market in Europe, which also makes it strategic market for developing Asia and the Middle East, noted Fernando Vizcaíno, GM of Worldcom.

Previously, Collins worked at Clear Channel UK as a national direct sales consultant. She has also worked with other major U.K. OOH providers, such as Exterion Media (now Global) and CBS Outdoor.

Collins said Worldcom’s business development will focus on several key areas.

"There is much to develop in the U.K., from banking and finance to fintech as we have been seeing several new set-ups emerging, such as online payment services, B2C and B2B - who have been investing in OOH sector communications, she said.

Currently, Worldcom provides local and regional services in Latin America and has a network of partners in more than 18 countries in North America and Europe, with projected plans for the Asian market.

In December 2022, the company added Thomas Flood to its ranks. As managing director for the United States and Canada, his charge is to expand business in recently added markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago,Toronto and Montreal.

Worldcom has a host of blue-chip clients, including Mastercard, McDonald's, Unilever, Paramount+ and Disney.
