TrueCar Launches Confessional Video Series

TrueCar is giving car owners a chance to come clean on social media about all the crazy things they have done inside of their vehicles.

The company took to the streets to ask people to confess their funniest, steamiest and most memorable moments with their cars.

Some examples of the questions include: When was the last time you cried in your car? What are your most embarrassing car stories? And what is the grossest thing you’ve ever done or discovered in your car?

The answers ranged from the hilarious to the eye-popping to the jaw-dropping, according to the company.

Episodes will be aired on Instagram, YouTube Shorts and TikTok profiles. To stay updated, consumers can register their email address at www.truecar.com/truecarfessions.

The launch of the social video series was timed to coincide with National True Confessions Day on March 15.

Upcoming episodes will include consumers answering other provocative questions like: What is something you've done in your car, you wouldn't want your parents to know?  When was the last time you cried in your car? Why?  Have you ever turned someone down / dumped someone because of...their car?

“If our cars could talk, the stories they’d tell,” says Allison Mac, vice president, brand marketing, TrueCar. “For most of us, one of the most intimate, enduring and unique relationships we have is with our vehicle. And let’s face it, we’ve probably all done a thing or two (or a hundred) in our car that we wouldn’t necessarily want to divulge. But sometimes, a confession can be good for the soul.”

TrueCar is an automotive pricing and information website for new and used car buyers. The service allows users to see what others paid for any new or used vehicle in their local area and receive upfront prices from a network of TrueCar Certified Dealers.

The company’s mission is to make car-buying easy and transparent -- and the video series aims to take "transparency" to a whole new level, Mac says.
