
Josh Fromson has been named executive vice president-sales
at BBTV, the "creator" video content network long-time agency media executive (Assembly, Carat) Martin Cass joined as
CMO last year.
Fromson joins from a stint as senior vice president-agency and international sales at Buzzfeed, and previously held senior sales and publishing positions at Complex Networks,
Voice Media Group, SF Weekly and other publications.
Last week, BBTV announced an "operational realignment" to focus more on content management and "direct advertising sales,' and
disclosed it has signed "major contracts" with entertainment companies and record labels, including: Combate Global, The Harlem Globetrotters, and Wondery.
BBTV said those firms join deals
BBTV already has with the NBA, Sony Pictures, Paramount Global, PBS and others.
"For each of these new signings, BBTV is providing a diversity of its comprehensive content management
solutions, which include rights management, channel management and content development," the company said in a statement.
