Reddit is expanding its Max campaigns to
all marketers, while bringing more functionality to the AI-powered ad offering by integrating with Reddit’s advertising API, onboarding AI ad platform Smartly, and introducing asset group
capability.
Max campaigns were initially launched earlier this year, allowing advertisers to automate their
campaign process, including targeting, creative, placements, and budget allocation, based around insights gathered from Reddit’s audience.
According to
Reddit’s internal findings, advertisers running Max ads have seen on average 17% lower costs and 27% more conversions compared to regular campaigns.

Along with making its AI-powered ad suite available to all advertisers globally, Reddit is bringing Max to its
advertising API, which will give advertisers the option to create and manage their Max campaigns with third-party tools.
Smartly -- an AI-powered ad
management platform -- is the first third-party tool being integrated to support Max campaigns.
Reddit is also rolling out asset groups to help advertisers
organize multiple sets of creative in a single Max campaign.
“Each asset group can represent a
different product line or use case (ie: running shoes, training apparel, fitness accessories), and include its own headlines, media, and destination URL,” the company’s announcement
explains. “Advertisers can also report on each group separately to understand which products and messages are driving performance.”
