AdGreen Selects Fleischer As U.S. Director To Support Sustainability

Emily Plunkett Fleischer was named the U.S. director of AdGreen.

The new role is funded by Ad Net Zero, the ad industry’s plan to promote and embed sustainable products and services.

Fleischer will work with AdGreen global director Jo Fenn and Ad Net Zero director John Osborn to introduce the organization to the U.S.

Founding supporters of the effort include ad trade orgs, such as AICP, ANA, 4As and IAB, along with Google, Meta, L'Oreal, Unilever, Diageo, Reckitt, Indeed, Pubmatic, IPG, Publicis Groupe, Dentsu, WPP, Omnicom and Havas.

Fleischer, founder-CEO of Maidstone Films, completed the most projects in AdGreen's carbon calculator in 2022. She will continue at Maidstone while working at AdGreen.

In her new role, Fleischer will steer the adoption of the AdGreen calculator tool in the U.S. market. It is specifically modeled for the ad production community, allowing users to measure carbon across significant areas of the production process.

“I’ve seen first-hand that you don’t have to compromise quality to reduce emissions, and I am thrilled to have the support of the existing AdGreen team, Ad Net Zero and other industry organizations as we bring that message to the U.S. market,” said Fleischer.

Ad Net Zero launched its action plan in the U.K. in November 2020, followed by Ireland and a global rollout at Cannes Lions in 2022. Ad Net Zero launched in the U.S. in February 2023
