Musk Hires Unnamed Woman To Replace Him As Twitter CEO

Elon Musk, who vowed to step down as CEO of Twitter after losing his own Twitter poll in December 2022, today announced he will fulfill that pledge in six weeks.

In a tweet, Musk announced he has hired an unnamed woman to replace him as CEO of X/Twitter, and that his own role will transition to being exec chair and CTO, overseeing product, software and system operations.

Speculation -- and memes -- ran rampant on Musk's successor, but if he's looking for someone who could rebuild Twitter's trust with Madison Avenue, it's worth noting that NBCUniversal Chairman of Global Advertising Partnerships Linda Yaccarino has been cozying up to him lately, including a recent high-profile sharing of the stage at the Mobile Marketing Association's Possible conference.
