Newer technologies often need a boost to show people how to use them
before they can gain traction and become household names.
Google became a widely used verb meaning to search for information on the internet, with terms and phrases including “Google
it,” “googling” or “googled."
As Google transitions from Google Assistant toward AI-based platforms, it launched a campaign hat demonstrates how its AI-powered Gemini
app helps people save time by streamlining, automating and simplifying tasks, giving them more time to do what they want.
Four campaign spots launched on Tuesday starring creators that show
how they use Gemini for daily inspiration.
Some highlight relatable everyday tips and tricks such as taking a photo of a dealership price sheet to negotiate a better car deal, or demonstrate
how to use Gemini and Search to gain discounts. Another demonstrates how to research and organize apartment listings into a Google Doc.

The campaign, Look What You Can Do, is supported by
production company Arts & Sciences and directed by Mike Warzin. It will run across national broadcast, digital, and out-of-home (OOH).
Other spots will be forthcoming in the coming weeks,
also created by the Google Creative Lab.
The move highlights Google’s massive transition to shutter Google Assistant on Android devices beginning September 4, 2026.
The company
made the announcement in early August, shifting mobile operations to Gemini.
"Google is officially transitioning from the deterministic, micro-task architecture of Google Assistant to the
conversational, multimodal capabilities of Google Gemini," Aswin Jagadeesh, a Google product expert, wrote in a Google post on the support page at the time of the announcement.

called this change "a major ecosystem shift" that prompted questions, and he put together a timeline for
change.
He wrote that while the transition brings massive upgrades -- which were announced at the latest Google I/O -- the upcoming "Gemini Spark" agent system will allow phones and home
devices to naturally understand context, proactively manage complex schedules, and coordinate directly with apps on the users' behalf without requiring hyper-specific "wake-word" phrasing such as
"hello Google."
