NY Times Debuts New York Times Audio, iOS App

The New York Times has launched an iOS app for news subscribers called New York Times Audio.

The app will offer audio journalism and storytelling on a variety of topics.

The content will feature daily programming on  news, politics, arts, business, tech, culture, lifestyle, sports and opinion.

“Audio journalism has the power to bring stories to life, and our app now allows our audience to take The Times with them — on dog walks, while commuting — in moments when reading isn’t an option,” xays Stephanie Preiss, senior vice president and general manager, audio for the Times..

The Times launched ‘The Daily’ in 2017, and now will provide a  “daily front page, told in audio, curated by Times editors and powered by the Times newsroom,” says Paula Szuchman, director of Audio.
