Through a new partnership, video ad-tech company VDX.tv is offering shoppable video ad units that include product specs, prices updated in real time and availability info across multiple, region-specific retailers.
VDX.tv has integrated capabilities from digital commerce tech company Dotter. Dotter provides solutions, including digital shelf and where-to-buy tools, for making digital brand content shoppable, and data used to optimize creative, conversions and retailer performance.
The interactive ad units, which give users the information to locate products in local, physical stores, while also providing the option of buying online through a link to the website of the brand or a retailer, are particularly effective for mid- to lower-funnel campaigns, according to VDX.tv —which notes that most CPG sales are currently made through a select group of big-name national retailers.
Display units of all sizes can include an interactive product gallery that features information such as size, color and flavors.
VDX.tv uses a brand-provided list of products and preferred retailers to create custom shoppable ads for each campaign, and geo-targeting based on access to “unlimited” retailer relationships, to show consumers all online retail options with product availability relative to their locations.
