Mercedes-Benz is partnering with Blade, a
helicopter service connecting New York-area airports to downtown.
Blade, which describes itself as a technology-powered, global urban air mobility platform, says it aims to
transform luxury travel in NYC.
Mercedes-Benz is now the official luxury automotive partner of Blade. The automaker will provide three Blade-branded Mercedes Maybach
vehicles, which will give users an “unparalleled ground transfer experience for Blade passengers between the Blade Lounge and their commercial terminals.”
These
Maybachs, including a gas-powered SUV, a gas-powered sedan, and an EQS SUV, will be present at the arrival terminals of commercial airlines, offering a transition to the Blade Lounge upon
landing.
Blade Airport seats can be booked on the Blade App, on Blade.com, or by calling one of their Blade Flier Relations representative. Users can book an
individual seat on a Blade helicopter between NYC and JFK or Newark airport from $195.

$1,875, with seating for up to six people with maximum luggage and departure time flexibility. Frequent flier can consider a Blade Airport Pass for $795, which works out to as little as $95 per
flight.
Users have access to private lounges on West 30th Street, East 34th Street, and Newark airport.
Providing luxury experiences is
in Mercedes-Benz’s DNA, says Monique Harrison, head of brand marketing at Mercedes-Benz USA.
