In a first-of-its-kind deal providing it with
access to one of the world's biggest suppliers of stock images, videos and other creative assets, Omnicom has struck a generative AI licensing agreement with Getty Images.
The deal, which is
part of an alpha test integrating the stock creative asset giant's new Generative AI by Getty Images platform into Omnicom's internal Omni AI-powered operating system, provides its agencies and
clients with "commercially-safe and legally indemnified" access to generative AI creative assets.
Launched in September, Generative AI by Getty Images was developed
on the Edify model architecture, which is part of NVIDIA Picasso, a foundry for generative AI models for visual design. The tool is trained solely from Getty Images’ content with uncapped
indemnification for commercial use.
With broad protection and usage rights, users can download and license any visual they generate, enabling Omnicom teams to move from ideas to outputs faster and
without the impediment of licensing concerns.
