MGH, a Baltimore-area full-service marketing and advertising
agency, announced today that it has appointed David Wassell as president, ushering in a new era of leadership at the 30-year-old agency.
As the top executive at the agency, Wassell will
continue to serve as Chief Creative Officer, a role he has held since 2017. He joined MGH 24 years ago as an art director.

As president, Wassell will lead MGH’s executive management team, and
one of his first initiatives is an agency repositioning and “cultural refresh.” It's a work in progress with details to be announced at a later date.
With this shift in
leadership, agency owners Andy Malis and Jane Goldstrom will assume the roles of Founders/Senior Advisors.
Wassell has led many of the agency’s most recognizable campaigns,
including Ocean City, Md., Department of Tourism’s “Rodney the Lifeguard.” More recently, last year Wassell helped introduce Korea-based bb.q Chicken to American consumers with its
first national ad campaign in the U.S.
