IHOP Doubles Down On Breakfast By Reintroducing Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity

IHOP is tooting its horn for the return of the Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity Combo, with several new varieties and pricing for 2024.

Originally launched in the 1980s, the combos now include a new twist on the classic with Extravaganza Combos, available in Strawberry, Blueberry Compote, Seasonal Mixed Berry Topping or Cinnamon Apple flavors. Each includes a choice of fruit-topped pancakes, crepes, French toast, or a Belgian waffle with two eggs and either two bacon strips or two sausage links. The combos, which are all high fructose corn syrup-free, are available nationwide starting at $7 for a limited time. 

In a recent survey, IHOP revealed 75% of guests come the restaurant for breakfast items all day, not just before noon or late night. The chain stated in a release that it is “working hard to curate a menu pipeline that leverages its breakfast equity to drive innovations for any time of day.”

“IHOP continues to lead with our breakfast equity by reinventing new ways for guests to enjoy their favorite menu items, their way,” said Kieran Donahue, Chief Marketing Officer of IHOP. “Currently, over 80 percent of orders at IHOP are customized by our guests. As we continue to evolve our menu to focus on what our guests want, we are focusing on the importance of delivering quality options like the expansion of our classic Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity to offer more value options across dayparts.”

And members of the International Bank of Pancakes will earn extra PanCoins through the digital rewards program by ordering IHOP’s newest Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity Combos. Member will receive 10 bonus PanCoins for ordering two combos, and 25 PanCoins for four combos.

The chain recently closed its West Hollywood,  location, per the WeHo Times, which was one of the oldest IHOP stores serving customers for more than r 40 years.
