“Downton Abbey” gin-imbibing superfans now have the chance to win a trip to sip their spirits on the grounds of the “real” Downton Abbey, courtesy of Highclere Castle Gin.
In anticipation of the upcoming third installment to the film trilogy (now in production), based on the hit TV show “Downton Abbey,” Highclere Castle Gin has launched a new contest to promote both the gin and film.
Consumers can enter to win a three-day, two-night trip for two to Highclere Castle in September, including airfare, accommodations, ground transportation and tickets to the VIP cocktail party hosted by Lord and Lady Carnarvon, residents of Highclere Castle.
The U.K.’s Highclere Castle gained international attention as the filming location of much of the TV series “Downton Abbey, thus nicknamed the “real” Downton Abbey. Highclere Castle Gin

The brand is promoting the contest via social media, email marketing and public relations outreach.
Launched in 2019, Highclere Castle Gin is crafted from botanicals sourced from the estate of the Castle itself, including citrus from the Victorian-era orangery and lavender planted in the 9th century by the Bishop of Winchester at Highclere Castle. The spirit was founded by the 8th Earl and Countess of Carnarvon together with American spirits entrepreneur Adam von Gootkin.
