Fanning, Coppola Serve Up Roku Gin's 'Seasons'

Actress Elle Fanning (“The Great”) and director Sofia Coppola are a potent mix.

They have joined forces with The House of Suntory to showcase Roku Gin’s “Come Alive with the Seasons” campaign, directed by Coppola.

Distilled in Japan, Roku’s flavor is achieved by balancing six Japanese botanicals with eight traditional gin botanicals. The gin represents Japanese concept of shun, the moment when nature is at its peak in vibrancy and vitality.

The spot relies solely on visual language to underscore the pleasures of gin and the importance of sharing moments together. Creative was done in-house by The House of Suntory and Sofia Coppola.

The campaign is running on the House of Suntory Website and YouTube.

Fanning said: “It’s amazing to partner with The House of Suntory's Roku Gin. Their commitment to craftsmanship, nature and attention to detail is why Roku Gin is inspiring. My go-to cocktail is Roku gin and tonic with fresh ginger. It’s one part Roku gin, three parts tonic, served in a tall glass over ice with freshly sliced ginger.”

Earlier this year, The House of Suntory’s Roku Gin debuted the Festival Collection, the limited-edition release of the Roku Gin Sakura Bloom Edition, which honors the Sakura flower. Its delicate nature and fleeting blossoms are a hallmark of Japan's spring.

Roku Gin was released in 2018, a non-age statement gin, alongside Haku Japanese vodka, the portfolio's other white spirit.

The House of Suntory was established with Yamazaki Distillery in 1923 — the oldest malt whisky distillery in Japan’s history.
