The 2024 Olympics will be here before we know it, and every
day fans learn more about the athletes competing for America’s gold.
Continuing a long-standing relationship with the athletic community, this week Chipotle launched a limited-time menu
in honor of its Team Chipotle.
The Team is comprised of five athletes from various sports sharing their go-to meals via Chipotle's Real Food for Real Athletes digital platform. The items
include basketball champ Anthony Edwards’s Bowl: half chicken, half steak, brown rice, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa and lettuce. This year's Olympic competitor, beach volleyball
player Sara Hughes’ Burrito is made of double steak, white rice, black beans, cheese and lettuce. Women’s soccer star Sophia Smith’s Burrito contains chicken, brown rice, light black
beans, light pinto beans, fresh tomato salsa, tomatillo-red chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream and cheese.

The chain will feature the athletes’ favorite orders available
via the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com.
To commemorate the Olympics, Chipotle will bring back its iconic gold foil burritos July 25 in the U.S., as well as serve them for the first time at the
chain’s six locations in Paris and one in Lyon, France. The chain last used the gold foil to celebrate athletes in 2021.
"Every one of our Team Chipotle athletes has had a unique
journey," said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer at Chipotle in a release. "By highlighting their stories and how Chipotle has been a key component of their training regimens, we hope to inspire and
fuel the next generation of great American athletes."
Team Chipotle athletes also took part in Chipotle’s “Unwrapped” online show with a series of videos that profile each
talking about “what it takes to compete at the highest level of their respective sports,” per the brand.
