Days after President Joe Biden’s calamitous debate performance in June when the New York Times and others started urging Biden to end his campaign for reelection, The Lincoln Project called those suggestions “insanity,” insisting that an election wasn’t won or lost during a single debate months ahead of the election. 

But like many in America today, the LP is singularly focused on making sure Donald Trump is not re-elected. So it quickly fell in line when Biden made his announcement not to run again and dropped its first ad earlier this week supporting presumptive Democratic Party nominee Vice President Kamala Harris. 

The ad positions her as just the warrior we need to lead the country into the future. In the ad, Trump gets smacked around pretty good.  

“As a tough prosecutor,” the ad’s narrator states, Harris “dealt with men like Trump all the time. Rapists. Con men. Frauds. Criminals. She’s used to guys like Trump. Used to putting them in their place.” 

Ironically, Trump used those same descriptions to unfairly tar all would-be immigrants crossing our borders to stir up his base. In his case, as the courts have decided, they happen to be true.  

“Kamala Harris will bring something to Trump he’s rarely seen: Justice,” the ad concludes.
