Kids dream of finding the mythical Golden Ticket after watching either "Willy Wonka" movie -- and one brand aims to harness that same excitement from hunting and beer-drinking adults.
Keystone Light beer has brought back The Hunt, its yearly promotion since 2006, in which beer drinkers hunt out an elusive “Blaze Orange” camouflage-printed can.
The individual orange cans are hidden inside the typically blue 15-, 24-, or 30-pack sizes of the light beer. As the brand’s “version of a golden ticket,” finding one awards the drinker a product from a new line of outdoor hunting merchandise. Winners reveal their prizes when they enter the can’s QR code online. The codes also unlock one of four different AR experiences designed for the promotion.
The new award merch is a collaboration with camouflage outdoor hunting gear maker Realtree. Included are co-branded jackets, camo-designed e-bikes, firepits, hunting vests, binoculars and other accessories. The collection is also available for purchase online.

The contest is being promoted on the Keystone Light website and the brand’s social media channels. Those who don’t find a Blaze Orange can aren’t completely out of luck; customers can still log on to the site and enter their info to be entered for a chance to win additional prizes.
