Jamba is counting on consumers’ caffeine addiction with the introduction of a new line of blended coffee beverages.
The brand noted that 74% of Americans consume coffee every day, with Gen Z-ers and millennials citing a preference for specialty cold coffee drinks.
The fruit smoothie chain will launch the caffeinated offerings Sept. 10, initially with two options: the Coffee Dream Machine, which is a blended frozen coffee with vanilla flavors, and the Buzzin' Mocha Moo'd, which is frozen coffee and chocolate blended. Both beverages contain 2% milk, which can be replaced with almond, soy or oat milk options. Customers can also add Coconut Whip or Jamba boosts including whey protein, soy protein, zinc and 3G energy to their blended coffee.
To promote the new coffee drinks, the chain is embarking on a “Sunrise Smoothie Tour” across California. Beginning early next month before the official launch, customers will get a preview of the new blended offering at several pop-ups in Los Angeles, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area and can participate in an early morning sunrise-themed experience with free blended coffees, sunrise yoga sessions, coupons and various swag. The events are free, but attendees must rsvp at Eventbrite.
