Agency Gut Opens In New York, Its Ninth Location Worldwide

Globant-owned ad agency Gut opened Gut New York, the ninth location for the award-winning global creative network operating across seven countries worldwide.

The new office will be led by managing director Gus Marmarinos, who joins the agency after two decades at Saatchi & Saatchi, and chief creative officer Lucas Bongioanni, formerly of The Community. They will report to Gut US CEO Sandra Alfaro.

The office opens with clients including AB InBev, Procter & Gamble and Kraft Heinz, among others. It’s Gut’s third office in the U.S. along with locations in Miami and Los Angeles. The New York launch follows the opening of the agency’s Madrid office earlier this year.

It also follows the launch in June of Globant Gut, a network that will combine the mar-tech services of the parent company with the creative offerings of Gut and other Globant-owned agencies including Habitant, Ad_bid, KTBO, and Vertic.

Alfaro commented: "Opening our doors in New York is more than just a milestone, it's a dream come true. We couldn't be more proud to become a part of the most influential city in the history of advertising."

Additional New York-based hires include US director of content strategy Liz Little; US culture strategy director Bennett Bennett; creative directors Ryan McCarthy and Brian Mekjian; associate creative directors Clarissa Dale and Willow Ennen; NA communications director Alie Coolidge; content creator Jack Underwood; group business lead Becky Herman-Barnica; senior account director Ryan Little; senior account executive Maya Solarana; and senior project manager Chelsea Thompson.
