Somehow the silly, spooky classic Columbia Pictures flick “Ghostbusters” turns 40 years old this year, and this QSR sweet celebration is equally as much slime-covered fun.

Krispy Kreme announced the launch of the Krispy Kreme x Ghostbusters Collection, which contains four doughnuts that are a “haunting fusion of flavors and fun for the holiday,” per the brand.

The adorable collection is available for a limited time in commemoration of the 1984 film.

Franchise fans will also appreciate the limited-edition custom Ghostbusters specialty box within which the donuts are served.

Collection doughnuts include the Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut made with Oreos, an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with Oreo pieces, Oreo buttercreme and a No Ghost logo candy. The Slimer Doughnut is an unglazed doughnut filled with lemon-flavored green filling, dipped in purple and green icing with a Slimer candy. The Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in orange colored icing and sprinkled with neon sprinkles.

Then there's the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart, which contains Original Glazed Doughnut Dots with powdered topping, marshmallow flavored buttercreme and a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man candy.

Fans now also have a themed drink with which to wash down all the doughnut goodness: the Slimer’s Slime-ade, which comes in Ghostbuster’s signature ectoplasm green color.

In addition to Krispy Kreme locations nationwide, a six count package featuring the Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut made with Oreos, Slimer Doughnut, Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut and Chocolate Iced with Halloween Sprinkles will be available in select grocery locations.

Krispy Kreme will also continue its annual Halloween tradition this year by giving guests who wear any Halloween costume to participating shops on Oct. 31 a free Original Glazed doughnut, with no purchase necessary.
