Dennis Miller, who took over the reins of The CW Network after Nexstar Media Group acquired the network in late 2022, will resign as president of the broadcast channel, effective at the
end of this month.
He will serve in an advisory role through the end of the calendar year.
Nexstar did not disclose future senior executive plans for the network.
Miller has held the position of president since October 2022, after Nexstar bought a 75% stake in the network from co-owners Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global.
Previously, Miller was a member of Nexstar’s board of directors -- where he had served since 2014.
While he was president, in two years, the CW shifted programming focus
from younger-skewing scripted dramas and comedies to unscripted entertainment and other content as well adding sports programs including Nascar Xfinity, ACC college football and basketball, PAC 12
football, LIV Golf, and WWE NXT wrestling.
