The ice cream float -- ice cream and soda together -- turns 150 this year. To celebrate the anniversary, Baskin-Robbin, has joined with Pepsi on a promotional contest that will award the winner free ice cream floats for one year.
Beginning this week through Nov. 12, Baskin-Robbins’ customers who order any ice cream float made with a PepsiCo beverage (or even just any two scoops with a Pepsi product) are eligible to enter. After receiving their float, customers are required to text FLOAT, along with a picture of their receipt, to 23955 to be entered to win free ice cream floats for a year.
An additional 150 winners will receive a $20 Baskin-Robbins gift card.
To help promote the ice cream float contest, the brands have enlisted professional Latin and ballroom dancer Alan Bersten, who is currently a dancer and coach on “Dancing With The Stars” where he appears with Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher. Bersten has been named “Chief Floats Officer,” by the brands, as “after a long day of dance rehearsals, an ice cream float is Alan's favorite way to cool down,” per a release. Bersten will help spread the word of the float contest via his social channels.
